Sci 231 — Introduction to Physical Science 3
The basic principles of physics, chemistry, earth science (climatology and geology), and astronomy are presented to fulfill both the science requirements for the general education curriculum and the prospective elementary teacher curriculum. Co-requisite: Sci 241 — Physical Science Laboratory. Fall
Sci 241 — Physical Science Laboratory 1
Simple experiments performed by students and some more advanced demonstrations in mechanics, electromagnetism, rocks and minerals identification, and stars observation. Co-requisite: Sci 231 — Introduction to Physical Science. Fall
Survey and study of North Dakota with emphasis on identification, characteristics, and natural history of common plants and animals. Field and laboratory study designed for elementary teachers. Not applicable toward biology major or minor. On demand with sufficient student numbers.
