 Parade of Nations
In honor of Dickinson State University students from countries
other than the United States, commencement includes the Parade
of Nations. During the Parade of Nations, the national flag
of each international student on campus is displayed in a salute
to these students who have traveled far to enrich the University
with their global perspective.

During the 2007 commencement, the countries represented were: Australia, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Belarus, Cameroon, Canada, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Ghana, Guatemala, Haiti, Hungary, India, Jamaica, Japan, Kenya, Macedonia, Mongolia, Nepal, Nigeria, Peru, Romania, Russia, Senegal, South Africa, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Zimbabwe and the United States.
In addition to the international students, Dickinson State University is proud to have among their students many from sovereign Native American nations. The flag of the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara nation also is displayed in the Parade of Nations.
