Location
Dickinson State is located in Dickinson, North Dakota,
a city of 17,000, near the rugged and beautiful North Dakota
Badlands and Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Outdoor recreational
activities including hiking, biking, golfing, hunting, and
fishing are located within minutes of campus. Dickinson is
located along Interstate 94 and the community is served by
commercial bus and air service for easy access.
Degrees
Dickinson State offers Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of
Arts, Bachelor of University Studies, Bachelor of Science in Education,
Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Applied Science in Technology, and Associate Degrees.
Student
Activities
You can be involved in student government, student publications,
musical groups, science and art organizations, drama and speech clubs,
athletics (varsity and intramural), special departmental clubs and organizations,
national and international learning trips.
Housing
Information
Dickinson State provides a selection in housing offering
men's, women's, co-ed residence halls, and family-student housing. Our
halls, complete with computer stations, provide a comfortable and attractive
place to live and learn.
Financial
Aid
The Dickinson State Office of Financial Aid requires completion
of FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Institutional scholarships
require the completion of a Dickinson State scholarship application.
Priority deadline for processing all financial aid is March 15. More
than 80 percent of our students receive financial assistance.
Admission Requirements
Applications must have a high school diploma or GED certificate
and completion of the ACT (www.act.org).
Students applying for admission into a four-year program are also required
to complete the following high school prep courses prior to entrance:
four units of English; three units of mathematics: Algebra I and above;
three units of laboratory science; and three units of social sciences.

Effective Fall 2007 semester, all incoming students must complete and sign the Campus Safety and Security Questionnaire prior to August 21, 2007, the first day of Fall 2007 classes.
