National Association of Music Educators Organization (MENC)
 Mission:
To advance music education by encouraging the study and making of music by all.
The Dickinson State University MENC chapter is one of the most active chapters in the state. Its members are devoted to promoting music in and around North Dakota. Its members are comprised of music majors and non-music majors alike. Yearly dues for DSU students are $31.00, and entitle the students to receive the Teaching Music/Music Educator's Journal, a highly useful publication for music educators. The local chapter at DSU sponsors many activities during the academic year, including Northern Plains Music Festival and Hilltop Holiday.
