Family Tradition Awards

Must be at least a second generation DSU student or have other siblings at the University. Amount: Amounts and number of awards vary. Terms: Annual awards. Manufacturing Technology Awards

Music Awards

Badlands Brass Awards

Transfer Student Scholarship and Award Opportunities

Transfer Students Awards

Students must have completed a minimum of 24 semester hours of college credit. Transfer students are eligible for any of the above listed scholarships and awards. Dickinson State scholarship application  and Other applicable applications
Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Student Awards
    3.5 or above

Students who have been members of Phi Theta Kappa at a junior college are eligible. Amounts: Amounts vary between $500 and $1,000. Terms: Annual Awards.

Cultural Diversity
Tuition Award

Awarded to students who are enrolled members of a federally or state recognized tribe or under-represented or culturally diverse population who demonstrate academic ability and leadership qualities. Amount: Amount and number of awards may vary. Terms: May be renewed for up to 5 years.  Students must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 and pass 12 credit hours per semester. Global Awareness Scholarship

Scholarship Students must have a paper based TOEFL score of 525 or above or 195 or above on computer version and must have demonstrated academic excellence in their previous schooling. Amount: Amounts and number of awards vary up to $6035. Terms: May be renewed for up to 4 years. Students must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 and pass 12 credit hours per semester.

Students who are the spouse or dependent of a DSU employee are eligible to apply. Amount: Amounts and number of awards vary up to full tuition. Terms: Annual awards.

Other Tuition Incentive Programs

Children of Alumni

      Dependents of North Dakota University System alumni are eligible for a special tuition rate of 150% of North Dakota tuition for their children to attend Dickinson State University. Would be the same tuition rate as WUE students. Dickinson State scholarship application and Children of Alumni Form
Bordering State/Provinces       Students residing in states or Canadian provinces which are adjacent to North Dakota receive a tuition rate of 125% or less of North Dakota tuition. States include Minnesota, Montana, and South Dakota. Provinces include Manitoba and Saskatchewan.  
Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP)      

Students residing in Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, Nebraska and Wisconsin pay a tuition rate of 150% of North Dakota tuition.

MSEP application

Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE)       Students residing in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming pay a tuition rate of 150% of North Dakota tuition.
